Lovely boat tour in fresh water Lake Cocibolca known as the Big Lake of Nicaragua. Las Isletas is a paradisiacal archipelago made of more than three hundred small islands which offers beautiful peaceful views to the visitors. Lago Cocibolca is the eight biggest lake in the world and the biggest in Central America. The tour around Las Isletas includes a visit to Old San Pablo fortress in a small island. This fortress was built in 1789 to defend the city from pirates’ attacks during the colonial times. The best time to navigate the islets canals is in late afternoon.
